Distraction is a part of life
– internal or external –
Creative ideas, connection, expression
are also a part of life
It’s a dance of inspiration,
balance and authenticity
I embrace the dance

Together Always
Together always a dance intertwined
Sometimes you take the lead
Sometimes I take the lead
It’s a cosmic dance
We meet and re-unite
The dance floor may change
Our experiences may shift
But our love and presence
always present
always here
The Moon – part 2
The moon is my companion that circles and
visits at regular intervals. Its own cosmic journey
reflected toward mine. It’s a dance of give and take.
It’s the silent watch of a devoted partner
always on my side with a bright smiling face.
There are shadows and crevices worn with age and experience
but reliable a friend as any
lighting a path in the dark
reminding me I am never alone.
I send up my own hello and smile.
I know the wild nature of life is never this precise,
predictable and reliable as the moon
Trees
With steady patience
they are the shadow
and the light
They fuel dreams
and fill bellies.
They are the life givers to so many
I tend to you and
You tend to me
This tender, loving act
This dance with the trees
I sway in the breeze
and smile at the leaves
Not just today
but for all my days
on the Earth
We are goddesses of the sea
We are goddesses of the sea
hand holding hand
arms outstretched
an expectant embrace
We watch the incoming waves
and guess when will they arrive,
when will they break and crash
Sometimes our timing is just right
and we jump right over the wave
that matches our leap
We dance with the sea
It’s a game of catch and be catch
The Moon
The Moon holds all secrets.
Yours and mine.
It is a divine circumstance,
Not some random chance.
The Moon may appear busy
With its changing phases
And varied dance across the sky.
It is no secret.
It is a gift from above.
The dance of give and receive.
It is limitless and accessible to all.
The capacity to hold is unchanging.
The Moon listens to my heart.
It is with gratitude that I join
And dance with the stars.

The Sand
I don’t often think of the sand unless I’m at the beach And I dig my feet and toes into the fine warm grains. If I look close enough, each grain is not uniform. There are clear shiny pieces of tiny rocks, Some darker than others, that make up the whole. The tide goes in and out Crashing a million times onto the shore. The sand can mold and make a temporary shape Before the waves bear down And claim it back into the earth Back into the sea. The sand, made of earth, can handle the force And alchemize the pressure Over and over again To make smoother, finer grains of rock That I can scoop and grasp in my hand Before I let it slip through my fingers. My feet leave their imprint On the damp cool sand. Each individual toe down to the heel. I see a bird’s talons imprinted Beside some dog paw prints of varying shapes and sizes Evidence of who also enjoyed this spot of earth. The sun heats and beats onto the sand. It is bleach white from the constant rays. But if I look closely, I see the individually expressed grains That together make up the whole. The sand spreads out to the horizon As it bumps up against the shore Jutting up to sand dunes and tall grasses. Sea shrubbery and florals come into view. I dip my toes into the cool waters And run back to my spot in the sand. I relax while the wet clumps become dry And loose once again. It’s a never-ending dance.
